                 Fireworks: The Law  |
        ||
|
                 Hello All
 Calls for service have increased due to the time of year, that are being set off in public places, such as Black Rocks in Cromford. As much as they are widely used to mark celebrations or traditional events and add excitement to them - on occasions fireworks can also frighten/disturb, cause annoyance and damage, to people, animals and the environment.
 The law says you must not set off or throw fireworks (including sparklers) in the street or other public places. - You can be fined an unlimited amount and imprisoned for up to 6 months for selling or using fireworks illegally. You could also get an on-the-spot fine of Β£90.
 To avoid noise problems with fireworks we recommend and consider that you: π Tell your neighbours about the display.
